Note that most of our work studies have two research foci at any time: |
The first research focus is from the perspective of our central topic: shared values crystallization: its underpinning mechanisms and theory. However, this topic does not fit in any one existing discipline: it is at the nexus of topics in sustainability science, philosophy, organizational studies, participatory methodologies, sociology. It is a self-consistent field of its own but has overlaps and linkages between existing theories in all of the above. We outline what we know so far about these linkages, organised in the tabs to the left by Discipline and Topic. |
The second research focus is the application of the shared values crystallization, for contributions to different fields. This generally can be via one of the ‘uses’ detailed in the ‘USES’ tab, such as community profiling; perspectives linkages; transformative learning effects. In the pages here we outline how we have already or envisage how these applications can make contributions to gaps in research areas of other fields such as environmental management; ecosystem services; human-nature relationships; transformational learning, etc. |
The Table below can be used to identify Topics and Uses of particular interest, to choose the Tabs on the left menu. |
