This strand of work explored the influence of Nudging techniques on the outcomes of the WeValue InSitu process. Generally speaking, the process is known to cause transformative learning effects with some participants, and sometimes with the group collectively. This appears to be a result of the increased self-awareness it develops. In some cases this transformative learning results not only in changes in perspectives, but also in behaviours, and these can sometimes be documented by using pre- and post-event measures - previous studies had already demonstrated such

This paper shows how ecosystem services approaches can be improved, by demonstrating the differences between existing ESS ways of categorizing how humans ‘value’ nature, and what is found with a grounded approach.
