2024年10月10日，复旦大学环境科学与工程系玛丽.哈德教授邀请《自然—人类行为》杂志编辑王笑博士为我校师生进行了一场学术讲座。本次讲座作为环境前沿讲堂可持续科学系列第一讲，受到复旦大学国合处“双一流”全球发展战略推进项目资助，讲座由复旦大学可持续行为研究课题组黄妍妍博士主持。该讲座旨在介绍《自然—人类行为》期刊以及《自然》系列下的其他期刊，并详细阐述了《自然—人类行为》期刊的投稿、审核、编辑流程，重点强调了学术期刊投稿过程中的要点和注意事项。
On October 10, 2024, Professor Marie Harder from the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at Fudan University arranged for Dr. Wang Xiao, editor of the journal Nature Human Behavior, to deliver an academic lecture for the faculty and students. This lecture, as the first session of the Sustainable Science Frontier series, was funded by the Global Development Strategy Promotion Project of Fudan University’s International Cooperation Office. The lecture was hosted by Dr. Huang Yanyan from the Sustainable Behavior Research Group at Fudan University. With an emphasis on key details and factors in the academic journal submission process, the lecture sought to introduce the journal Nature Human Behaviour as well as other journals in the Nature series. It also attempted to give a thorough explanation of the submission, review, and editing procedures of Nature Human Behaviour.
王笑博士首先介绍了自然系列期刊的总体架构，包括研究期刊、评论期刊、自然通讯、研究报告等等。她强调了自然系列研究期刊的使命是推动人类行为研究的影响力，特别是人类行为在应对社会挑战方面的重要性。其次，王笑博士指出，《自然—人类行为》杂志主要关注注册报告(Registered reports)和元分析(Meta-analysis)等研究形式，强调研究的透明性和方法论的重要性。最后，王笑博士详细阐述了《自然—人类行为》期刊的编辑要点，特别是投稿要求和审核流程。她鼓励师生提交高质量、具有创新性、数据经过严谨审核分析的研究。
Dr. Wang Xiao commenced the lecture by outlining the general framework of the Nature series journals, which includesresearch reports, review journals, research journals, and Nature Communications. She emphasised that the goal of the research journals in the Nature series is to increase the impact of studies on human behaviour, especially in light of the field's critical role in solving societal problems. She paid special attention to research formats such as registered reports and meta-analysis, highlighting the significance of transparency and methodology in research. Dr. Wang also elaborated on the editorial key points of the journal Nature Human Behavior, particularly the submission requirements and review process. She noted that the journal places special emphasis on the relevance and innovation of research, encouraging the submission of high-quality studies with rigorously vetted data.

During the interactive segment of the lecture, Dr. Wang engaged in an in-depth academic interaction with the faculty and students, addressing various questions they encountered during the submission and research processes. Participants actively asked questions and discussed how to enhance the quality and impact of academic research, as well as how to effectively conduct research and publish in the current academic environment.
