Deedar Karim is a PhD candidate (2025–2029) under Professor Marie Harder at Fudan University, specializing in International Relations. He brings strong qualitative research experience to the team. His work focuses on developing WeValue for localizing the internationally used ESG indicator system for businesses and risk assessment, drawing parallels with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Social Impact Assessment (SIA). This research forms part of the team’s broader mission to drive substantial ESG revisions and create indicator systems that align more closely with China’s concept of Ecological Civilization—a framework comparable to Sustainable Development but broader and more balance-oriented. As a mainland Chinese team member, Deedar will help ensure the work effectively bridges China–Southwest boundaries.
