Dilshad Haider is a PhD student in the Department of Environmental Management at Fudan University (2026-2030), supervised by Professor Marie Harder. She holds an MPhil and an MSc in Sociology from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Her previous research has focused on social inequality, gender, vulnerable communities, displacement, wellbeing, disaster-related challenges, and environmental issues. She has expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including interviews, focus group discussions, surveys, thematic analysis, and statistical analysis. Dilshad has six months of teaching experience as a visiting lecturer, seven years of experience as a data analyst and research consultant, and one year of experience as a full-time research assistant. Her professional experience includes contributing to research projects from initial design and data collection through analysis and reporting. She has also worked for Customer Success Snack, Netherlands and Polis Labs, Tallinn, Estonia. Additionally, she contributed to the Cultural Compass Study 2025/26, an EU Erasmus+–sponsored project carried out in partnership with Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and Meet Your Purpose Cooperative, Schaan. She has also worked as a Senior Scientific Researcher at Apex Scholar Lab, Melbourne, Australia. Her broader academic interests include gender and climate justice, disaster risk and resilience, environmental vulnerability, community-based research, and human wellbeing. Through her interdisciplinary background in sociology and environmental management, she is particularly interested in understanding the social dimensions of environmental challenges and developing research that contributes to more inclusive and contextually relevant solutions.
